The Raspberry Pi 500+ is the premium evolution of the all-in-one keyboard format, keeping the heart of the Pi 5 (Broadcom BCM2712 SoC with ARM Cortex-A76 at 2.4 GHz and the RP1 I/O chip) and raising the bar in memory, storage and user experience. It includes a native PCIe 2.0 x1 interface (PCI Express, a high-speed bus for modern peripherals) with a preinstalled NVMe SSD and an accessible M.2 slot, making the definitive jump to serious storage without depending on microSD. The keyboard is now mechanical, with hot-swappable keycaps compatible with Cherry MX (the most widespread mounting standard) and programmable RGB backlighting managed by a dedicated RP2040 microcontroller (the same chip that powers the Raspberry Pi Pico). It keeps the 40-pin GPIO header (General Purpose Input/Output, programmable digital pins) accessible horizontally on the back, integrated aluminium heatsink and dedicated power button. The case is now screw-mounted to allow opening the unit and accessing the M.2 slot easily. Ideal as a compact main desktop machine, a serious development workstation with native NVMe storage, a silent remote-work machine or a base for projects that demand memory and disk speed without losing the integrated form factor.
